Coco, the smartest gorilla in the world
The main character who adopted the cat is the gorilla ‘Coco’. Coco was born in 1971 at a zoo in San Francisco, USA, and has lived for 46 years. Now at the Gorilla Foundation, a nonprofit that protects great apes, Coco is known as the smartest gorilla in the world.
Coco understood thousands of English words, and learned American sign language to express her needs. Since she has been living with humans since childhood, Coco is weak in her identity as a gorilla and doesn’t even try to make friends with other gorillas.
One thing Coco did while refusing to engage in social activities was that she carried a doll in her arms. Coco is also a female, and after seeing the doll’s baby-like behavior and attempts to move, experts found a mate.
But again, Coco rejected the other gorillas. The Gorilla Foundation decided to adopt a cat for Coco.
The Gorilla Foundation, which adopted a kitten and put her together with Coco, is looking at Coco’s reaction. What was Coco’s reaction to the small kitten she wanted? The gorilla coco approached the cat in the small box cautiously and lowered itself so that the kitten did not become afraid to see him.
He used his fingers to gently stroke the cat when he was petting the cat for fear that his big hand would hurt the kitten.. After a long time, Coco embraced the kitten preciously.
As mentioned earlier, Coco was very intelligent and was able to communicate with each other through sign language. They expressed their intention of ‘good’ and ‘I want to adopt.’
